To get used to: rečenice, vježbe, testovi i primjeri

Get used to koristimo

Dok be used to opisuje stanje („već naviknut na nešto”), get used to odnosi se na proces navikavanja na nešto. Koristimo ga kada je nešto isprva novo ili teško, ali postupno postaje poznatije.

Ova se struktura može koristiti u različitim vremenima: get / gets used to, am / is / are getting used to, got used to, was / were getting used to, will get used to, i tako dalje.

Prezent jednostavni (get / gets used to) često znači „navikava se s vremenom” (opći proces), dok prezent kontinuirani (am / is / are getting used to) naglašava „navikava se na to upravo sada”.

Važno je razlikovati rezultat i proces u prošlosti:
got used to = navikao/la se na to (rezultat),
was / were getting used to = navikavao/la se na to (proces).

U budućnosti obično koristimo:
will get used to = naviknut će se na to (proces),
will be used to = već će biti naviknut na to (stanje).
